Imagine my surprise when, while watching Emmy Blotnick’s standup on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” I heard one of my own books mentioned – twice! Blotnick, who is also the head writer on “The President Show,” was riffing on her sad life and she mentioned her Amazon search. Basically, the joke revolved around her previous  purchase of Fatherless Women. Needless to say, I was stunned. And then I was worried – did she just think my book (about the role of fathers in women’s lives, as well as grief, etc.) had a funny title? Well, a bit of searching (a friend had taken a class with the comedian’s mother…) and it seems she has read it – and that she found it useful. (As more than a punchline, I assume.) At the very least, it’s a small world.

You can see her bit here (or go to https://youtu.be/bGaATsjA3Hg )(The mention starts at about two minute forty seconds).
