Want to hear some of the music memorialized in World Enough? Tonight, local music scribe Brett Milano will spin some tunes before we settle in to talk about music and writing – and specifically writing about music – at Brookline Booksmith. We both go way back, and I’m looking forward to hearing from the fans – and maybe musicians too! Oh, and in addition to our books, I’ll have t-shirts to give away!

Thursday, the party will take on a different beat: I’ll be joining more than 50 crime fiction authors to toast Tess Gerritsen, this year’s Robert B. Parker Award recipient at the New England Mobile Book Fair Mystery Gala. This is the sixth year the festivities will be held at the Book Fair, the first at the store’s new location, and, as always, everyone is invited. Plus, all month long, Harvard Book Store will be showcasing (and discounting) its “Holiday Hundred,” and a little elf has told me that World Enough will be up there on the wall (signed copies, too*).
